Monstera Deliciosa
The Monstera Deliciosa also called the Split Leaf Philodendron and the Mexican Breadfruit Plant is famed for its heart-shaped leaves that develop splits and holes as the plant matures. These splits and holes, called fenestrations, typically emerge after the plant's first 5-10 leaves and become more prominent with time. This plant spills into a broad bush if left unsupported, or clambers upwards if provided with a moss pole or stake.
How to keep it Leafy:
If your Monstera Deliciosa becomes unruly or you wish to decorate with propagations, take cuttings that include at least one node, a bulge along the stem where new leaves and roots can emerge. Place your cuttings into a jar, cup, or vase of water, change water weekly, and watch the roots emerge.

Water Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. |
